The science of design
Our brief was to develop a new style guide to work in parallel with the launch of the museum’s new identity. We were delighted to have access to the museum archives to source images for this project – a rich source of fascinating content, items and documents.
We wanted to create content and imagery that would appeal to a young adult audience. A contemporary lifestyle approach was designed to celebrate four key themes – science, technology, engineering and maths. We developed a broad range of patterns that could be applied to clothing, accessories, home décor products and packaging. Our designs utilised historic source material to deliver a modern and unique aesthetic.
