A journey of discovery
Discovery Channel asked us to produce a trend-driven licensing style guide for apparel targeted at young adults. We developed three themes – Natural Abstracts,
Extreme Engineering and Space.
Natural Abstracts takes inspiration from the Earth’s extreme terrains, from fractured compositions illustrating volcanoes and fault lines, to abstract photography depicting the flowing landscapes of Iceland. This is an organic and textural collection, with depth and form referencing the extremes of the land. Extreme Engineering focuses on human achievements through architecture. Strong, geometric forms are used as reference to the structures, with bold lines and fills creating a sense of presence and a modern aesthetic. Space consists of vibrant gradients and halftones, using striking images of planets, moons, space suits and rocket boosters to create trend-led graphics for apparel.
