Allowing companies & investors in the industry to discover areas of new opportunities, through having the largest data repository in the fintech market available.

After 25 years, I find myself surrounded by an incredibly talented group of individuals, working with some of the biggest brands in the world, all from our humble city of Brighton.



To all the remarkable people I’ve encountered throughout my career, many of whom have become my closest friends, I extend my heartfelt gratitude. You have played a significant role in shaping my world.

2022 - 2023



In 2022 we got a call from Amazon Studios asking if we would like to work on the graphics for a marketing style guide for a new top secret TV Show - which turned out to be The Rings of Power - released in 240 countries and 37 languages! Authenticity & hand crafted qualities became the hallmark of this guide.



This also seemed to be the year of brand creation and we embarked on a brand refresh for Wayve - embodied artificial intelligence for self driving cars, Producer - a rebellious identity for the future of film-making & Muuvr - a game-changing app allowing active people to learn and earn from their data.



We produced more licensing style guides for Harry Potter, Discovery & Batman and to round off these highlights in 2023 we produced the brand identity for Brighton Pride!



From local to global - we have always maintained one true mission - to create great ideas that look beautiful.

2020 - 2021



So as we all know, this was the year the world changed. COVID had arrived and flipped the script completely.

In March pretty much all our projects either jolted to a halt, were postponed or got canned. It had been such a busy start to 2020 and it was worrying to say the least that all our big plans were now de-railed.



Strangely though, when we look back in the job book, these were 2 of the most productive and creative times at the studio (or should we say WFH).

We have only chosen a handful of jobs from these years to share here, so be sure to grab a PDF version of our book from our website if you’d like to see more.



These were years we partnered with Discovery, Corona, Team GB, McDonald’s, Pokemon, Lay's, 5 minute Crafts, Looney Tunes, J&B, Animaniacs, Warner Bros, Transformers & Mr Potato Head to create licensing styles guides. You could say we have become experts in the field now!



We partnered with PepsiCo to create the experiential toolkit for their corporate guest program, which invited over 300 high-profile guests from around the world for the UEFA Champions League Final.



Sussex Police asked us create a design & marketing campaign to influence behaviour change among young people to reduce and prevent serious violence, focused on knife-related crime in Sussex.



Then to round off 2021 we created the look and feel for the Global Vaccine Confidence Summit held at the G7 in Cornwall, UK.



Thank you team - they felt like tough times mid 2020, but through hard work and determination we pulled through.

2018 - 2019



These were absolute bumper years for creative output from the studio.

Following the success of our licensing guides for Budweiser and Corona, Bud Light engaged us to work on their global guidelines.

We produced fast fashion packs for the classic Cartoon Network characters & a guide to celebrate some of the biggest films and TV shows for Universal.

The Science Museum also opened their visual archive to us, so that we could produce patterns for their licensing programme.

Brand licensing was fastly become our specialist subject & we loved the creative freedom it offered.



These were also the years that we worked on multiple projects for Facebook as we produced guidelines & artwork for many of their experiential activations across the U.S.



Nickelodeon and Comedy Central became one of our regular and favourite clients & we produced most of our moving image work for them over this period including full TV show packages and stings for the channels as well as the tune in campaign for the new South Park Season.

Lots of great stuff here, so be sure to watch these on our website.



We also created a brand identity for Zedify - the zero emmisions despatch company, branded the exhibition booths for Buzzfeed at CES in Vegas & produced a huge brand update for Puffin books.



Then to round off 2019 we developed a brand identity for the worlds first CDB infused craft beer Hop & Hemp.



Told you it was a bumper couple of years!

2016 - 2017



Beers galore... We found ourselves in the lucky position that global beer brands as well as local breweries came knocking.



We create a brand identity and marketing strategy for Brighton’s very own Laine Brew co. Say hello to mr good times!

The biggest selling beer in the U.S Budweiser briefed us to create brand licensing guidelines and creative applications for the world’s undisputed King of Beers & Corona asked us to extend their licensing opportunities beyond the beach.



Our animation work went from strength to strength and we even found ourselves filming idents for Comedy Central with 2 dogs, 2 chickens, a hairless cat, a pig, a rabbit and a plastic spider!

2014 - 2015



From 2014 we started making regular trips to the U.S as our client base grew outside of our home turf.



We partnered with AgencyRush and Bloomingdales to create an emoji app and campaign to coincide with New York fashion week.



Disney Nature in LA was our first global licensing guide and we produced a promotional campaign for the U.S soccer league MLS.



Our moving image and animation work was on the rise and MTV commissioned us to produce the tune in campaign for ridiculousness which became a new bonkers signature look for us.

2012 - 2013. These were super fun years at Crush Towers.

We helped Greenpeace kick the oil giant Shell out of the Arctic with our animated viral video, our dark side was revealed when we repackaged the classic Dawn of the Dead (fun fact - those are our hands on the cover) and we reimagined the MTV logo for licensing.



Our next big licensing project came from Cartoon Network when we produced a guide for The Amazing World of Gumball, after that Spongebob made a return in a psychedelic whirlpool.



We traveled to Sweden to work with the women’s football team & Lotta Schelin to promote healthy living for the World Heart Federation, then we took a trip around the UK with Jaffa man, looking for Jaffa virgins (it’s a long story)!

2010 -2011



The creativity in the studio flourished in these years & we were honoured to be asked to design Yann Martel’s classic novel Life of Pi.

We created a new series design for Philip Pullman’s His Dark Materials Trilogy and we produced the cover for Jon Ronson’s legendary book The Psychopath Test, which we humbly think became a design classic itself (thanks Saul Bass).



In 2011 Nickelodeon asked us to create a style guide for Spongebob Squarepants, which became a turning point for the studio as we started to build our portfolio in the world of brand licensing.



Our creative for Tropicana was sprawled across NYC subways (minus the sticky seats) and we produced an animated music video for the Sigur Ross front man Jonsi.

2008 -2009



In 2008 We moved into a scruffy old building in the heart of Brighton’s ultra cool North Laine. Vine Street became our makeshift hub for many years before we eventually bought the building and converted it into the palace that it is now.



Our repackaging of Douglas Adams Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy was a big hit with fans old and new.

We created an advertising campaign for lastminute.com, a brand activation for Nokia as well as landing a project for Brighton’s favourite tipple; Tuaca.



Every few years the design team grew slightly and some fantastically talented people passed through the Crush doors on their own creative journeys.

2006 - 2007



The era of record covers and collaborations with major music brands wasn’t coming to an end, but we did begin to explore new horizons.

Book covers made a grand entrance and we were given the challenge of designing a new look for none other than the Bible itself.

We began a long lasting relationship with Faber & Faber as well as creating many fiction covers including a rebrand of the Agatha Christie back catalogue.

2004 - 2005



From booze brands, to nightclubs and book covers our work evolved into many sectors in 2004 & 2005. We partnered with brilliantly talented freelance illustrators and started to evolve our own illustration styles.

The Heineken Thirst tour rolled on and we travelled the world art directing some of the biggest DJ names of the day.

2002 - 2003



In 2002 we moved from London to Brighton & started working with FatBoy Slim’s legendary club The Big Beat Boutique to craft new visual vibes for the madness that happened every weekend at The Concorde on Brighton Seafront. This was also the year that Carl went to Amsterdam to pitch for a global dance music tour by Heineken & returned home with a project that would last for 6 years and meant the agency went for 1 to 4 creatives overnight.



Heady days as we transitioned from the music industry to big brand collaborations had just begun.

The music independent music industry continues to be the bulk of work at Crush Towers and in 2001 the first full time designer joins Carl on this epic journey.
