Req at the Basketmakers
November 2 2011
We celebrated the end of Tuesday with a couple of drinkies in the Basketmakers and bumped into the Brighton graffiti legend Req (www.youtube.com/req) who decided to capture a few of the Crush crew in charcoal scribbles. It was only in the morning that we realised that Rolf Harris was alive and well and working in the studio (sorry Jose!)

When we donned the high visibility vests, hard hat, specs and workman boots we thought we probably looked as cool as the Beastie Boys in the Intergalactic video. It turns out we looked more like the workman in the Village People!
This was us dressed up for a site visit to Siemens iconic new building opening in the Summer of 2012 in London’s Green Enterprise District. We can’t tell you too much right now, but we have been working as part of the PBJS UK creative team for a couple of months now on some very exciting design in print and online for the launch of this amazing building. Watch this space.

Craft Club Film Adventures.
November 17 2011
Tom and Jack ventured up to London last night to the fantastic V&A Museum of Childhood, to collect some more footage for the Craft Club film : This Knitted Mortal Coil. They were blown away by the pieces people brought in , ranging from pebble jumpers to a full sized knitted man. If you have any knitted items you'd like us to include in the film, big or small, make sure you email thomas@crushed.co.uk before our deadline of Nov 25th! The plucky lads even had some time to work on some personal projects, the less said about that the better.Get Awestruck

Shuffle along the Knitted Mortal Coil
November 7 2011
We are about to embark on a very exciting project commissioned by The Craft Council of England and need a lot of crafty people to help us.
Crush will be making a film tackling the big story - birth, life, death and beyond. All via the medium of needle work, and we need YOU to help make it happen.
It’s your story so send us your photos, your films, and most importantly your knitting; anything that reflects the incredible imagination and stories of our knitted world.
We are looking for submissions from everyone, all ages and backgrounds, the full spectrum.
Nothing is too weird or wonderful to be included, go nuts!
We will cover 5 ages of (wo)man in the film covering the categories of:
* Birth & Childhood * Teenage Years * Adult Life * Aging & Retirement * Death & Beyond*
Hand-stitched, knitted or crocheted items should be sent to: Crafts Council, Craft Club Film, 44a Pentonville Road, London, N1 9BY
